Understanding Chakra Energy

The Basic Concepts of the Chakra and Chakra System as it Relates to you as a Balanced Individual.

By definition the word chakra comes from an Indian Sanskrit word meaning, “wheel of light”. There are seven traditional chakras which are located in front of the spine and positioned from the tailbone to the crown of the head. In addition, these spinning vortexes of energy align with the glandular system in the physical body, but make no mistake they are not physical, they are energy. The chakras are the storehouses and transmitters of the universal energy. They interact with the electromagnetic energy field and transform this energy by interacting with the universal life force. The freedom with which energy can flow back and forth between you and the universe is in direct correlation to the total health and well-being you experience. When you rise from one chakra or consciousness to the next, your perspective expands. Any restrictions to either reception or expression of this life energy will result in a malfunction of the being as a whole, and will be expressed as disease, discomfort, lack of energy, fear, or an emotional imbalance.

The Road Map

  1. Life is Energy.  The same force that flows through all of life flows through you.
  2. Chakra energy interacts with the Universal life force and animates the various aspects of your life, from Universal into Earth and back again.
  3. The Chakra’s are a map of your inner being – your relationship to yourself and how you experience energy.
  4. The Chakra System provides a map for activation and balancing the various levels of life energy or experience.
  5. The first 3 Chakra’s are the relationship between you and the earth dealing with individual energy, separate and distinct from all others. The fourth Chakra is transitioning between the grounding of the earth and the Universal energy, it is where the two aspects of self meet and merge. The upper 3 Chakra’s are collective aspects of the self increasing the connection with Universal energy, to higher consciousness or Source Energy.
  6. Basic principle to remember: if the energy is not balanced in the lower chakras, the imbalance will interfere with the experiences of the upper chakras. You will have fleeting moments of insight from the upper chakras, but you will not be able to sustain that level on consciousness until the lower chakras are brought into balance.
