Ginseng The Mystical Healer
Ginseng is the most widely available herbal supplement today. Many people believe the ginseng plant has mystical healing powers and health benefits. Ginseng’s original name was “man root” since the ginseng root resembles the shape of a human body.
Path as a Spiritual Healer
My focus in this lifetime has been on spiritual healing. This certainly was not my idea or plan. It does seem that from an early age Spirit was preparing me to be a spiritual coach and spiritual healer. Both have given me the opportunity to share what I needed to learn.
Living my journey, there was many times I got into conflict about Dreams, Fantasy, Magic, Faith, God and Trust. During my early years I was very connected to the Deva kingdom, those wonderful fairies, angels, and nature beings that reside in our trees and gardens. I felt the presence of magical energy around me all the time. I really thought I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth and lived my inner life in a world of opulence and abundance. Although my outer world did not reflect that, it had no effect on me. I knew who I was and felt empowered and clear in that area.
When I got into my early teen years and later when I was married and had children, I lost touch with the magical world that was so much a part of me. My external reality reflected the abundance I had felt earlier on, but I denied myself the experience of living that fully. During that time it became apparent that Spiritual Coaching and Spiritual Healing were going to play a major part in the rest of my life experience. Intuitively, I could see I needed both in order to survive and maintain my sanity.
As I began to focus on a spiritual journey, I was exposed to many different paths and choices. Sometimes I embraced the magical fantasy life that I had touched base with as a child, and at other times became very focused on disciplining myself to be dedicated and focus my energy on listening to God and inner direction. The two worlds didn’t always mesh, and often felt like they were in conflict. Once again I had to rely on the tools I gathered as a coach and healer to keep me in balance.
The mystical path and teachings I had been studying didn’t address the dreams and fantasies of the child within. They spoke to my higher self and the adult and were very clear on direction and focus. They didn’t seem to address the fairies, angels and the whole Deva Kingdom where my imagination and dreams resided. The coach and healer within were definitely telling me I would not have to give up that part of me. The imaginative creative energy force that is so much a part of my nature needed to be expressed.
Slowly I became aware of the imbalance I was creating by being so hard on myself. It was a blessing to share this with my coaching and healing clientele. Being an example and a mentor is such an integral part of my work. As I allowed the child within to come out and play, speak, and let her be free again it has inspired my client’s to do the same.
Presently I am continuing to bring out the magical part of my nature and let the colorful imagination integrate with the rest of me. That feels somewhat daunting but I know it is time to allow that and will trust and remain open to the process.

Path of the Healer
People often become healers because of their own trauma and suffering. There are many stories about people who had their lives upended because of some injury, illness, or trauma and after healing their condition changed their lives to try and help others overcome their problems.
In my own case I had experienced a serious spinal cord injury from a car accident that left me facing life as a quadriplegic with the possibility of someone having to take care of my every need. I had lost most of the feeling and use of my arms and legs and also lost some organ function like bladder and bowel control. After the surgery to take the pressure of my spinal cord my neurosurgeon said I might never walk again.
Soon after my surgery I could tell something was very different but I couldn’t quite grasp what was happening to me. I was facing what looked like a tragic life altering situation yet I felt very calm and peaceful and I wasn’t on any drugs. In fact it was the happiest I had ever felt in my life. I had stopped taking the pain medications the day after my surgery so I knew it wasn’t the drugs that were affecting me. Along with this newfound sense of peace I could feel a new energy coursing through my body.
After a short period I realized what had happened. Because I suddenly had my whole life turned upside down and was facing losing everything that I lost my identity or who I thought I was and my mind just gave up and surrendered to what was happening without resisting or fighting the situation. It was as if suddenly I was someone totally different than I thought I was previously. I realized the mind attaches itself to certain labels and concepts of who or what it should be.
I had to learn to walk again. I was like a baby learning to take its first steps. I could barely feel my legs and they felt like they were filled with sand and weighed 1,000 pounds. This is quite common with spinal cord injuries. It took a tremendous amount of effort just to try and get one foot to just move a few inches in front of the other foot. It took me about 2 and half years of some very challenging times to be able to walk fairly normal again but today I am fairly mobile and pain free.
After a couple of years of recovery I had a feeling that I should try working energetically on others to see if I could help them. Previously I had taught others Qigong for self healing. I had learned some healing techniques but hadn’t really used them on others before but I thought I would try them on some friends and they said they would feel better after I worked with them.
After a lot of experimenting I found I had a gift for distant energy healing and started working with people all over the world. The distance energy healing works to help clear the blockages in the acupuncture meridians and chakras. The chakras are subtle energy centers in the spine that yoga philosophy recognizes as an important interface between consciousness and matter. Many ancient texts mention that blockages in the chakras can be attributed to most physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems.

Awaken The Healer Within
“When you are loved, you can do anything in creation. When you are loved, there’s no need at all to understand what’s happening, because everything happens within you.”
Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
Life is moving faster and faster. Our society demands instant gratification and quick fixes. Along with this lifestyle, your well-being may suffer.
Please take a moment to review the questions below:
* Do you wish you had more hours in your day to get more done?
* Are you getting adequate rest?
* Do you get exhausted easily?
* Are you making time in your schedule to exercise?
* Has your brain experienced information overloaded?
* Do you get overwhelmed?
* Is perfect health a distant memory?
By taking the following 3 steps, you may be energized and healthy all the time.
Step 1: Scan Your Aura
You are constantly bombarded by energy day and night. If you are sleep deprived, run down, eating sporadically, constantly doing, you will suffer. You can only live this way for so long. There are times to push, when you are on deadlines and you don’t have the luxury of sitting back and meditating. However, there are times when your body and soul are signaling you need to drop everything and take a time-out.
How do you know when to push and when to stop?
One very useful technique is to read your energy by scanning your auric field. The aura is an extension of your emotional, mental and spiritual energies that surround your physical body. It is the unseen part of you, however those who are psychic may be able to see your aura clearly.
Step 2: How to Scan Your Aura
You have to quiet your mind or you will have difficulty attuning to your energy field.
* Close your eyes. This will shut off the stress of excess external stimulation.
* Take several deep breaths into your body. This will help you to get grounded and centered.
* Now bring your focus to the top of your head (the crown chakra) and sense your energy. Ask yourself the following questions:
If my aura had a color, what color would it be?
If my aura had a sound, what sound would it be?
Is my aura heavy or light in this part of my body?
Now move your awareness down through your body until you reach the soles of your feet (the root chakra) and ask yourself the same questions.
Step 3: Review Your Insights
It’s a good idea to have a journal and pen to hand to write down your answers. Trust your first response. Your intuition is always right, it’s your ego that gets in the way.
By writing down your answers, you may bring hidden energy patterns from your unconscious mind into your awareness. This means you may turn bad habits into good routines!

Prayer in Time of Suffering
Behold me, my beloved Healer, weighed down under the burden of my trials and sufferings, I cast myself at Your feet, that You may renew my strength and my courage, while I rest here in Your Presence.
Permit me to lay down my cross in Your Sacred Heart, for only Your infinite goodness can sustain me; only Your love can help me bear my cross; only Your powerful hand can lighten its weight.
O Divine Healer, whose heart is so compassionate to the afflicted, I wish to live in You; suffer and die in You. During my life be to me my model and my support; at the hour of my death, be my hope and my refuge.
Amen.
